Veteran performer Daljeet Kaur passed away on Thursday in Punjab’s Ludhiana area. She was best known for her leading parts in a number of hugely successful Punjabi films.

The actor, 69, has reportedly been afflicted with a brain tumour for the past three years and has spent the past year in a profound coma, according to the actor’s cousin Harinder Singh Khangura.

At her cousin’s home in Sudhar, Daljeet Kaur passed away, and death rituals were carried out.

After earning her degree from Delhi’s Lady Shri Ram College, Daljeet Kaur began her career in cinema in 1976 with Daaz.

In popular films like Putt Jattan De (1983), Mamla Garbar Hai (1983), Ki Banu Duniya Da (1986), Patola (1988), and Saida Jogan (1988), Daljeet Kaur has acted (1979).
