Production has begun on “Sri,” a biopic of blind industrialist Srikanth Bolla starring Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao. The movie, which is supported by Bhushan Kumar and Nidhi Parmar Hiranandani, will be directed by “Saand Ki Aankh” fame director Tushar Hiranandani. It will also feature Alaya F, Jyothika and Sharad Kelkar.
Kumar’s production banner T-series shared the news on Instagram on Sunday, posting pictures from the movie’s ‘muhurat’ ceremony.

According to reports, the movie would tell the inspiring story of an industrialist who built Bollant Industries under the direction of Ravi Kanth Mantha despite having trouble seeing.
T-Series Films and Chalk N Cheese Films Production LLP are the producers of “Sri.”
The most recent appearance of Rao was in Vasan Bala’s “Monica, O My Darling,” a Netflix film. His forthcoming projects include the Jahnvi Kapoor-starrer “Mr & Mrs Mahi,” “Bheed” by Anubhav Sinha, and the Netflix series “Guns & Gulaabs.”
