Bruce Campbell, the cool one, has unveiled a fresh look of Evil Dead Rise. The movie, which is the fifth in the Evil Dead series, does not have Ash Williams, played by Bruce Campbell, as the main character, unlike the 2013 reboot directed by Fede Alvarez. A fresh cast of characters will also be introduced in Lee Cronin’s (The Hole in the Ground) written and directed film, Evil Dead Rise. Campbell earlier revealed a new image that offered a glimpse at one of the movie’s Deadites; now, she has given another image that offers a glimpse at the new characters. The photo that Campbell shared on Twitter is shown below.
In the tweet, Campbell wrote, “For the Deadites who weren’t able to make it to BruceFest this year, I’m very excited to share this shot of the family from Evil Dead Rise. See them come together or be torn apart only in theaters April 21.”
The new cast of Evil Dead Rise is fronted by Lily Sullivan and Alyssa Sutherland, who play two sisters hiding out in a high-rise apartment complex in Los Angeles that is suddenly overrun by Deadites. Along with Billy Reynolds-McCarthy, Tai Wano, Jayden Daniels, Gabrielle Echols, Morgan Davies, Nell Fisher, Mia Challis, and Ali Asghar Shah, these actors also appear in the movie. Campbell is executive producing the film, but he won’t be seen as Ash because he’s given up acting in live-action Ash projects.
When it comes to Evil Dead Rise, everything seem to be going well for the fans. After successful test screenings, plans to offer the horror movie an exclusive release in cinemas were revised from its initial plan to debut on HBO Max. Campbell had previously bragged about the accolades the movie was receiving from its initial showings.
“We just had a sneak peek, and it went… According to Campbell via JoBlo, “That had really good ratings. “They might go to theatres, but they were considering streaming it on HBO Max. Possibly in the fall.
Even if the fall release date was too soon, we now know that the movie was switched to a theatrical run, and the spring release date has also been made public. The official release date for Evil Dead Rise in theatres is April 21, 2023.
