According to reports, Lorene Scafaria will produce a movie for Paramount Pictures on the well-known American band Bee Gees. Earlier, John Carney was expected to helm the picture. Hustlers, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World, and The Meddler are Scafaria’s best-known works.

The movie has apparently been in development at Paramount for quite some time; the most recent draught of the screenplay was purportedly authored by John Logan. The Bee Gees movie will be produced by Graham King and Amblin Entertainment, the same team that brought you the Oscar-winning Freddie Mercury drama The Bohemian Rhapsody.

Barry, Robin, and Maurice Gibb, three Gibb brothers, founded the Bee Gees in 1958. In the 1960s and 1970s, they reinvented pop music and cemented their place as a permanent fixture of popular culture. The Bee Gees contributed songs to the film Saturday Night Fever, which helped to make disco music famous in the United States at the time.

Some of their most renowned hit numbers are Stayin’ Alive, How Deep Is Your Love, You Should Be Dancing, and More Than a Woman.
