Adventures are now essentially the lifeblood of Sea of Thieves. Since they began in early 2022, these brief story events have provided players with a reason to continue playing and an opportunity for Rare to develop the game’s mythology. But this time, the fresh story is being withheld.
The Rogue’s Legacy, the latest Adventure in the Sea of Thieves series, has a cinematic teaser that debuted a few days ago. The Adventure, which focuses on Tasha, asks players to assist the beloved tavernkeeper as a weird “skeletal malady” begins to take over her body. The Rogue’s Legacy’s release date has been postponed by Rare, which makes it wait.
The Adventure is being delayed for unknown reasons, although it appears like Rare is addressing some technical issues behind the scenes. According to a tweet from the Sea of Thieves Twitter account, “We’re delaying the launch of newest Adventure ‘The Rogue’s Legacy’ while tests are underway to assure a solid experience for everybody.” We’ll provide more information tomorrow. On December 8, when the tweet was instead sent out, The Adventure was supposed to make its premiere. At least additional details will be released on December 9.
