The biggest regret Catherine Zeta-Jones has in her acting career is that she didn’t get to portray the female James Bond.

According to aceshowbiz.com, the Oscar-winning actress stated that former 007 actor Sean Connery supported her for the role of the spy after they grew close while co-starring in the 1999 criminal caper Entrapment.

“I wished I could have been Bond. Sean Connery and I worked together on a film called Entrapment years ago, and he was like my older brother, my dad, and my support “On Sunday, she spoke to The Sun.

“I adored him so much. He once told me, “You would have been a terrific Bond, lady,” and I’m a huge Bond fan. A Bond girl or Bond, I enquired. Then he said, “Bond – girl.” Oh my my, I would have loved to play Bond, I said. But I believe that moment is now gone.”

Barbara Broccoli, the producer of the Bond film series, has reaffirmed that a man will continue to portray the role despite recent requests for the first female Bond.

In the most recent episode of Wednesday on Netflix, Catherine played Morticia. She stated of the programme, “It was a tremendous joy because it’s a legendary show and characters like Fester and Morticia are indelibly imprinted; they’re in our psyche.”
