Anand Pandit, a producer, will collaborate with Parag Sanghvi, Eros International, and that year’s Desi Boyz sequel on an Omkara remake (2006).
Rohit Dhawan’s comedy Desi Boyz featured Akshay Kumar, John Abraham, and Deepika Padukone. In order to live after losing their jobs, two Indians in London were followed in the movie.
Meanwhile, Omkara, a highly praised Othello version set in Northern India, was created by Vishal Bhardwaj. Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vivek Oberoi, and Bipasha Basu starred as the movie’s protagonists.
‘We are pleased to cooperate with Anand Bhai to rekindle the magic of these films that have stayed etched in our minds,’ adds Sunil Lulla, Chairman of Eros Motion Pictures. We frequently pondered what happened to our favourite movie characters and whether their adventures led them in unexpected paths. These movies will respond to a lot of these inquiries. Together, we will make sure that these timeless works retain their original spirit while receiving new life and vibrancy.
Aman Pandit declares, “Yes, it is true that I worked with Parag Sanghvi and Eros International to remake and make the sequels to two classic movies. These two movies, Omkara and Desi Boyz, set the bar for storyline, star power, and musical composition in their respective eras. They continue to be remembered for their mastery in their respective genres. It seemed like the ideal time to return these blockbusters and continue their tales for a new generation of viewers because they have cult followings for various reasons.”
I am very excited to be a part of these incredible endeavours, adds Parag Sanghvi. It will be fantastic to carry on these timeless hits’ legacy. Since Eros Motion Pictures is best situated in India to optimise distribution and promotion, especially on worldwide digital channels, the cooperation with Eros International is particularly crucial. We are now awaiting further information regarding the corresponding initiatives.
