Sheezan M. Khan, a 27-year-old co-actor who was Tunisha Sharma’s claimed boyfriend and who committed herself on Saturday, was detained on Sunday on suspicion of aiding her suicide. Tunisha Sharma was a television and film actress.
An official has reported that the 21-year-old actor reportedly committed suicide on the set of a television show in the Vasai district on Saturday.
The co-star of the dead, Sheezan M. Khan, was detained after the Valiv police filed a case against him under Indian Penal Code Section 306 (abetment of suicide), based on a complaint made by Tunisha’s mother.
Tunisha has roles in Fitoor and Baar Baar Dekho as well as the television series Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap.
The incident on Saturday happened on the set where Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-television Kabul’s series was being filmed.
On the set, Tunisha left for the restroom and didn’t come back for a while. She was discovered hanging inside when the door was busted down, according to the official.
According to the police, in her complaint, her mother stated that Tunisha and Sheezan were in love and that Sheezan was to responsible for her daughter’s excessive action.
The official stated that no suicide note had been discovered at the scene and that the body had been transported for a post-mortem while more investigation into the incident was ongoing.
