Almost six years after his role in Karan Johar’s film “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” sparked controversy and political unrest, Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is making a comeback to India with his new movie.
The Legend of Maula Jatt, the upcoming movie starring Fawad, also includes Mahira Khan from “Raees.”
This Friday, the movie, which has become the most successful Pakistani production of all time, is anticipated to be released in India. This year’s movie premiered in Pakistan on October 13.
Producers have said that Bilal Lashari’s version of the 1979 cult hit Maula Jatt, “The Legend of Maula Jatt,” is neither a remake nor a sequel.
In India, Fawad and Mahira both have sizable fan bases because to their serial “Humsafar.”
The most recent movie to be released in theatres in India was Mahira’s “Bol” (2011).
