A sequel to M3GAN seems inevitable after the success of the film. Upon its release in theaters, the killer doll movie performed much better than what had been projected, earning back its budget in theaters almost instantly. High praise from genre fans and professional critics have made the success even sweeter, and considering the accomplishments, it seems more likely than not that sequels will be made soon enough.
Speaking about the film in a new chat with Variety, star Allison Williams addressed the movie’s sequel possibilities. She details how, as a performer, she was already thinking about where the story could go in a potential sequel.
Williams doesn’t have any specific ideas to share, but she makes it clear she’d be more than happy to return if the studio does in fact move forward with M3GAN 2.
