The trailer of Ajay Devgn’s upcoming project Bholaa was unveiled today. Apart from Ajay, the film also stars Tabu, Deepak Dobriyal, Vineet Kumar, Sanjay Mishra and Gajraj Rao in pivotal roles. The film is a Hindi remake of the 2019 Tamil film Kaithi by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
The trailer shows Ajay as the titular Bholaa, a jail inmate who is tasked by Tabu’s cop to escort somebody to the Lalganj police station. “Escort them there, there will be no charges levied against you,” she says. Ajay initially refuses. “Cops are filing chargesheets on the basis of the face now,” he says. The trailer also introduces Vineet as the villain Nithari. Deepak Dobriyal is also shown in a negative role, beating cops to a pulp with a hammer. Just like the previous teasers, the trailer is also filled with relentless action.
Kaithi/Bholaa tells the story of an ex-convict who is forced to help a cop bust a drug raid in return to let him meet his daughter. Ajay will be resuming the role played by Karthi.
Amala and Abhishek Bachchan are said to be making special appearances in the film. Written by Aamil Keeyan Khan, Ankush Singh, Sandeep Kewlani, and Shriidhar Dubey, Bholaa will be released in theatres on March 30. This is Ajay’s fourth directorial after, U, Me aur Hum (2008), Shivaay (2016) and Runway 34 (2022).
