When Ryan Gosling’s chiselled six-pack, orange spray tan, and platinum mop-top were shown in the first trailer for the “Barbie” movie, the internet went crazy over his appearance as Ken. The actor Ryan Gosling’s outfit is merely “one of many stunning looks,” according to director Greta Gerwig.
On the red carpet for the Academy’s Governors Awards on Saturday night, Gerwig expressed her excitement about the public’s interest in Gosling’s costume to Variety’s Marc Malkin. That’s how Margot and I both felt, and I’m glad that everyone felt the same way.
Shortly after the initial looks, several photos from the set, showing Gosling and co-star Margot Robbie in costume, surfaced on social media. The photos showed the actors dressed in fluorescent, tie-dye spandex. Gerwig acknowledged that fans have “not even close” to witnessing all of the attire that Ken would use in the movie, according to Variety.
How many distinct Ken appearances were made for Ryan Gosling? Gerwig replied, “I honestly, I couldn’t say, but it’s a lot – it’s a lot, it’s a lot.”
The first live-action “Barbie” movie will be released soon. Gerwig responded, “I don’t know, when asked if the piece will serve as the beginning of a series. If it were, it would undoubtedly be exciting.
“Barbie” is directed by Gerwig, who is most known for writing and directing “Little Women” in 2019 and “Lady Bird” in 2017. Gerwig also co-wrote the screenplay with her spouse and regular colleague Noah Baumbach.
The comedy will also include Margot Robbie, Will Ferrell, Kate McKinnon, Michael Cera, and Issa Rae in addition to Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie. Barbie is scheduled to release on 31 July 2023
