In 150 days, Om Raut’s Adipurush, starring Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan, will be in theatres.
The movie, which was delayed due to complaints about subpar VFX, will debut on June 16.
Thursday saw a tweet from director Om Raut that said, “ll ll (We are always delighted to impart the virtue of Lord Ram). In 150 days, the entire world will witness India’s immortal epic!
Adipurush is an adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana. An early teaser – featuring Prabhas as Raghava, Kriti Sanon as Janaki, and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh – was widely trolled, taking brickbats for its sub-par VFX, Saif Ali Khan’s modish look and the clothes of the Hanuman character.
The makers had earlier postponed the film to rework the visuals. It’s reportedly one of the most expensive Indian films ever made.
