India Lockdown, a film by Madhur Bhandarkar, has been approved by the CBFC revising committee with an A grade and a few minor adjustments. According to prior reports, the CBFC requested 12 audio-visual changes from a section of the movie that told the narrative of a sex worker. The producers were upset because they believed that cutting significant sequences and modifying the language would lessen the story’s impact.
According to a source, “about 12–13 members of the revising committee saw the movie. They enjoyed the movie, but they also recognised what Madhur was attempting to say with his narratives. Since India Lockdown, like his other films, is based on a true story, the studio was pleased to approve it with three small alterations. There have been two adjustments made to the movie’s dialogue, and a private moment has been asked to be cut.
“I am delighted that the members of the revising committee grasped the context and adopted a reasonable verdict,” Madhur Bhandarkar continued. India Lockdown investigates how the Covid-19 outbreak has affected people. Prateik Babbar, Shweta Basu Prasad, Sai Tamhankar, Aahana Kumra, Zarin Shihab, Ayeesha Aiman, and Sativik Bhatia are among the actors who appear in the movie.
