Kantara’s seven-week run at the Indian box office is already complete. Today marks the 50th day since the film’s premiere, and the daily receipts are still in the millions. In its seventh week, it brought in a record-breaking Rs. 24 crores plus, setting yet another weekly record, surpassing Baahubali 2’s Rs. 11 crores. Since the sixth week, the movie has set three new weekly records. There will be a few more additions to that list given how far ahead it is of prior record holders.
The movie has made close to 350 crores rupees at the Indian box office as of today, with 344 crores. It has brought in an additional $4 million (Rs. 33 crores) abroad.
