At the Game of Thrones conference in Los Angeles, actor Kit Harington made an appearance and answered questions regarding the recently announced Jon Snow sequel series.

Deadline reports that while Harington was unable to comment much on the show’s development, he was able to discuss how Jon Snow concluded the first season and what could be in store for him now that his character had slain Daenerys.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Harington stated at the panel at the event on Sunday night that “I think if you asked him, he would’ve felt he got off lightly.”

He is getting ready to be decapitated and wants to be beheaded when we discover him in that cell at the conclusion of the show. He is done. The greatest blessing and the greatest curse are embodied in the fact that he visits the Wall. He must return to the location with all of this history and spend the rest of his life reflecting on how he killed Dany, how Ygritte died in his arms, how he hanged Olly, and how he dealt with all of this tragedy.

Without directly talking about the Jon Snow spinoff, Harington mentioned what state of mind his character was in at the end of Game of Thrones and indirectly teased the spinoff series.

“So I think where we leave him at the end of the show, there’s always this feeling of like… I think we wanted some kind of little smile that things are OK. He’s not OK,” he added.

Earlier this year, George RR Martin revealed that it was Harington that came up with the idea of continuing Snow’s storyline in a new series.

“Yes, it was Kit Harrington (sic) who brought the idea to us,” Martin wrote in his blog back in June of this year. “I cannot tell you the names of the writers/showrunners, since that has not been cleared for release yet… but Kit brought them in too, his own team, and they are terrific.”
