The first season of the American musical drama series Monarch, which debuted its finale on Tuesday, has been cancelled. There were 11 episodes in the series.
Fox Entertainment Studios’ first production effort is called Monarch.
Stars of the show included Beth Ditto, Susan Sarandon, Joshua Sasse, Trace Adkins, and Anna Friel. It was produced during the Covid-19 epidemic and was originally scheduled to debut in January. It was developed by Melissa London Hilfers. But the show managed to get 3.8 million people, making it the most watched fall scripted premiere in three years.
The “first family of country music,” of which Dottie Roman was the leader, dominated Monarch. After she passes away in the first episode, her husband Albie works with their two daughters and son to try to maintain their business.
