An OTT release is planned for the Marathi film “Sumi,” which won the Award for Best Children’s Film at the 68th National Film Awards.The makers of the movie recently unveiled the film’s poster.
“Girl child education, women empowerment, education in rural areas, and infrastructure development,” the film’s director, Amol Vasant Gole, says, “touches on various important topics.”

Gole commented on his film, “In telling a brave story, we took a chance that has paid off.Every character in the movie will leave the audience with a powerful message, particularly the characters of the two children, who have appeared so real by comprehending their nerves and feelings.”

The inspiring story of the daughter of a stone quarry worker and her pursuit of higher education is the subject of the film, which also features child actors Akanksha Pingale and Divyesh Indulkar as well as seasoned actors like Smita Tambe and Nitin Bhajan.Planet Marathi OTT is the destination for Sumi’s release.

On Children’s Day in India, the movie will be available to watch on Planet Marathi OTT starting on November 14.
