Pankaj Tripathi is one of Bollywood’s top actors right now. The 46-year-old is recognised for seamlessly executing any sort of role, so seeing him on screen is a true joy. It’s extremely unbelievable that an actor with such skill hasn’t been in any South Asian movies. Below is all you need to know about Pankaj’s recent disclosure on the subject.
As everyone is aware, the South’s film industries are currently enjoying a golden age, with support coming from all sides. Many Bollywood stars have been spotted appearing in the South. In fact, a few veterans had already come into contact. Even Pankaj had received numerous approaches, but the actor consistently turned down roles in movies.
During his speech at the Goa International Film Festival of India, Pankaj Tripathi revealed that he had turned down several offers from the South. Although I don’t find language to be a hindrance, I favour Hindi film, he declared. Main uss language ko samajhta hoon, uski bhavnaon ko, nuances ko behtar samajhta hoon (I understand the language better, I understand its emotions and nuances better) is why I am at ease with Hindi.
Pankaj Tripathi believes that his familiarity with Hindi will make it difficult for him to perform to the best of his ability. Despite approaches from Telugu and Malayalam producers, the Mimi actress said, “Forget Hollywood; I believe I won’t be able to give those films credit since I won’t be able to speak the language.”
On the professional front, Pankaj Tripathi will co-star with Akshay Kumar in Oh My God 2 and will star in the online series “Gulkanda Tales.”
