Anand Pandit, a film producer, said on Thursday that he has teamed up with Parag Sanghvi, Eros International, and the critically acclaimed crime thriller “Omkara” to adapt it. He also announced support for the “Desi Boyz” sequel.

The Shakespearean tragedy “Othello” was adapted into a Hindi movie in 2006 called “Omkara,” while “Desi Boyz” (2011) followed two buddies who start working as male escorts after losing their jobs due to the economic slump.

According to Pandit of Anand Pandit Motion Pictures, this is the ideal moment to see these two films again and introduce them to a younger audience.

“These two movies, ‘Omkara’ and ‘Desi Boyz,’ both set new standards for storyline, star power, and musical composition in their own eras. They continue to be remembered for their mastery in their respective genres.

The producer stated in a statement that “they have cult followings for various reasons and it seemed like the right moment to revisit these blockbusters and push their tales forward for a new generation of fans.”

Eros Motion Pictures Chairman Sunil Lulla expressed his company’s delight in working with Pandit.

“We frequently pondered what happened to the characters we love from movies and whether their journeys led them in unexpected paths. These movies will respond to a lot of these inquiries.

Together, we’ll make sure that these timeless works retain their original spirit while also giving them new life and vibrancy, Lulla remarked.

Continuing the heritage of these timeless songs is thrilling, Sanghvi continued.

Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Konkona Sen Sharma, Vivek Oberoi, and Bipasha Basu all delivered outstanding performances in “Omkara,” one of the greatest adaptations of “Othello” that has been hailed as a pop cultural classic.

Rohit Dhawan, the son of seasoned director David Dhawan, made his directorial debut with “Desi Boyz.” Starring in it were Chitrangada Singh, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone, and Akshay Kumar.
