Online rumours about Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan working together on an intriguing project first appeared this morning. The Dabangg star has reportedly been contacted by the Drishyam 2 actor for the Bholaa sequel. According to reports, the actor decided to make the movie a three-part franchise before it even hit theaters, and he approached Salman Khan to play the lead role in the second installment. But it appears that these rumours are untrue.

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s 2019 hit Tamil film Kaithi has an official Hindi remake called Bholaa. If everything goes according to plan, Dabbang Khan and the Drishyam actor could collaborate on a fascinating project.

The reports were quickly debunked by the producers when they appeared online. In a recent statement, they claimed that Ajay had not contacted Salman Khan about the Bholaa sequel.

“There are various stories circulating in the media about Ajay Devgn contacting Salman Khan for the Bholaa sequel,” the statement stated. Despite their strong relationship and chemistry, Ajay Devgn has not approached Salman Khan for the Bholaa sequel. Ajay Sir is currently preoccupied with Bholaa’s post-production.

Earlier, a source claimed, “In Bholaa, Ajay portrays a recently freed prisoner who aids the police in their pursuit of gangsters in exchange for the opportunity to visit his daughter. Although it is a remake of Kaithi (2019), authors Amil Keeyan Khan and Sandeep Kewlani significantly altered the plot to cater to the north Indian audience. The second portion will no longer take place in the Lokesh Universe; instead, it will follow its own course. Salman is expected to play a significant part alongside Ajay’s protagonist in this. Although the second and third parts will be set in the same universe, they won’t necessarily be called Bholaa.

“Salman liked it as Ajay has given a massy treatment to the actioner, which also stars Tabu. If Salman gives his nod to the sequel, the actor-director intends to give a sneak peek into his character in the first instalment itself. After the climax, the new character will be briefly introduced before the end credits roll,” added the source.

Coming back, what are your thoughts on Ajay Devgn and Salman Khan not teaming up for Bholaa sequel?
