The Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt movie was followed by KGF: Chapter 2, The Kashmir Files, RRR, and Kantara, according to Google’s “Year in Search 2022,” a summary of the top trends in search it noticed over the preceding 11+ months.
More than Rs 400 crore was made by the film Brahmastra, which also starred Mouni Roy, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, and Shah Rukh Khan in a lengthy cameo. Given its scope, it was a highly anticipated movie and as a result, it topped all Indian movie search charts this year. RRR, Kantara, Pushpa: The Rise, and Kamal Haasan’s return Tamil flick Vikram are the next four southerly films. Laal Singh Chaddha, a box office flop for Aamir Khan, Drishyam 2, Ajay Devgn’s monster smash, and Thor: Love and Thunder, the lone movie from Hollywood, made up the final three movies on the list.
Jai Bhim, Shershaah, and Salman Khan’s Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai were the three movies with the most searches in the previous year. By coincidence, Drishyam 2 in its original Malayalam version also placed ninth on the list for 2021.
