Actor Frank Grillo is adding gasoline to the flames after The Purge franchise creator James DeMonaco revealed a sixth Purge movie to Daily Dead last year. According to Screen Rant, Grillo discussed the impending sixth movie in an interview with Empire Magazine. Grillo played Leo Barnes in The Purge: Anarchy and The Purge: Election Year. The interview will appear in the February 2023 issue of Empire Magazine.

DeMonaco stated in a June 2021 interview with Daily Dead, “I offered it to my producers, Sébastien and Jason. Universal enjoyed it as well, so I believe I will write the next one and, if the audience requests it, we will release it. They both really liked it. I usually say that the movie gods will tell us to move forward if they want us to. It will be five years after this movie, but I believe I have come up with a fresh approach to turn everything upside down. It takes America in an entirely different direction, and I think it would be a really intriguing area to explore. It also brings back a prior movie character, which is entertaining.

Based on Grillo’s recent words, it seems like the “cinema gods” have spoken, and the film will be made. In addition to The Purge franchise, Grillo is known for portraying Brock Rumlow in the MCU.
